The cornerstones of Oesterbro Pigekor is the musical director and conductor Marlene Lollike and accompanist Morten Schousboe.
Marlene Lollike has a MA in Musicology and Theater Research from University of Copenhagen and has received teaching as rhytmic and classic choirmaster by conductor Per Enevold, Morten Topp and Morten Shult Jensen. In 2010 and 2011 pursued Marlene further education as rhythmic choirmaster at Nordjysk Musikkonservatorium. She has since 2004 been employed by Oesterbro Deanery where she at the moment is conducting 3 choirs; Frihavnskirkens Pigekor, Spirekoret and Oesterbro Pigekor. Marlene is often called upon as choir instructor for FUK (Youth Choirs within the Danish Church) and other big events throughout Denmark, latest Norbusang 2011 (Annual Nordic childrens choir event)
Morten Schousboe got his diploma from Royal Danish Academy of Music in 1997 and got an acclaimed soloist debut in 1999. He has recieved teaching from Bohumilia Jedlichkova, Dan oluf Stenlund, Lasse Ewerlöf and Bine Bryndorf. Morten often performs as organ soloist, accompanist, chamber musician and as continuo and has recorded “La Nativité du Siegneur” by the French composer Olivier Messiaen. He has since 2000 been connected to Frihavnskirken where he join forces with Marlene Lollike as the cornerstones in the growing childrens choir projects.
